AVR Series Assembly Inductors

Abracon AVR series assembly inductors are engineered for power-intensive applications requiring high current handling, low core losses, and reliability in compact spaces. These inductors utilize a high-frequency magnetic core and specialized construction, ensuring high power efficiency and minimal loss.

They are designed for use in traditional DC/DC circuits or as compensation inductors in TLVR multiphase configurations, where these inductors serve as the compensation inductors necessary for primary side power balancing.

While TLVR circuits provide enhanced transient load response, some designs may not require this complexity and instead opt for single-phase or traditional non-TLVR multiphase DC/DC conversion. Previously, molded inductors were standard for these applications, but assembly inductors offer improved performance at a lower cost.

The wire clip construction effectively reduces DCR values, minimizing heat dissipation and maximizing efficiency. With inductance values below 680 nH, these inductors are well-suited for switched-mode (DC/DC) power supplies, point-of-load (POL) regulators, artificial intelligence (AI) accelerator modules, and automotive and industrial automation systems.
