ERM8-EGPS/ERF8-EGPS Shielded Edge Rate® High-Speed Contact System

Samtec's ERM8-EGPS/ERF8-EGPS is a 360° shielded high-speed 0.80 mm pitch strip featuring Samtec's Edge Rate contact system and is designed for high speeds of up to 56 Gbps PAM4, as well as high-cycle applications. The smooth broad-milled contact surface increases wear life, while the minimized parallel surface area reduces broadside coupling and crosstalk. This also lowers insertion and withdrawal forces, allowing the connectors to be zippered when unmating. An extended 1.5 mm contact wipe ensures a reliable connection.

These products also feature incredible design flexibility including 20 to 60 total positions, 7 mm, 9 mm, 12 mm, and 16 mm stack heights, and a choice of orientation: vertical or edge mount. Many high-speed protocols are also supported such as Ethernet and PCI Express®.
