onsemi has a long history in the development of power semiconductors for motor control applications for appliance, consumer, and industrial applications. onsemi offers a wide variety of MOSFETs, gate drivers, power supply solutions, op-amps, and more tailored for cordless power tools.
Common cordless tools include drills, drivers, impact drivers, ratchets, cut-off tools, jigsaws, circular saws, reciprocating saws, sanders, angle grinders, multi-tools and more. Each tool has a different operating profile from the motor control's perspective. The block diagram below and description represent the basis for the circuitry. Samples, evaluation boards, design guides, whitepapers, calculators, and development tools are available upon request.
