Microchip cost-optimized PolarFire Core FPGAs and SoC FPGAs offer low-power, SEU-immune compute with RISC-V cores and up to 460K logic elements

Image of Microchip PolarFire® Core FPGAs and SoC FPGAsThe PolarFire Core family from Microchip delivers a cost-effective alternative to traditional mid-range FPGAs and SoCs by eliminating high-speed serial transceivers while retaining the core benefits of the PolarFire architecture. These devices are designed for applications that require low power, high reliability, and robust security without the need for SerDes or PCIe® interfaces.

Built on the same architecture as the standard PolarFire line, the Core variants integrate up to 460K logic elements and a quad-core, 64-bit RISC-V processor in the SoC versions. They offer single event upset (SEU) immunity, deterministic real-time processing, and compatibility with existing PolarFire development tools and boards. This makes them ideal for embedded systems where cost, power, and reliability are critical design constraints.
