The Maxim MAX16840 is an LED driver optimized for 12 VAC (MR16) and 24 VAC input LED light bulbs. A proprietary input-current control scheme allows LED lamps based on this device to be compatible with most electronic transformers, and dimmable with standard trailing-edge dimmers (where electronic transformers are present). Maxim offers a variety of design tools, reference designs, and evaluation kits to enable short time to market. Learn more in this presentation.
