Keyspan® Adapters

Tripp Lite by Eaton's Keyspan adapters let users connect a legacy DB9/RS-232 serial device to the USB-A or USB-C® port on a computer, laptop, tablet, Chromebook, or MacBook. It works with switches, routers, modems, barcode scanners, GPS units, digital cameras, point-of-sale devices, lab equipment, network storage devices, and other devices with a 9-pin serial port.

These adapters comply with the Federal Trade Agreements Act (TAA), making them eligible for General Services Administration (GSA) schedule and other federal procurement contracts. There is a 3-year limited warranty.

USB-A to DB9/RS232

Simply connect the included 3 foot (0.9 m) USB cable between the unit's USB-B port and a computer's USB-A port. The unit is compatible with any USB cable up to 16 feet (4.9 m). A green LED indicates data activity at a glance. The unit weighs only 2 ounces for convenient transport in a backpack or laptop bag.

USB-C to DB9/RS232

The included 3 foot (0.91 m) detachable cable supports data transfer rates up to 230 Kbps, which doubles the speed of built-in PC serial ports. The USB-C to DB9 adapter also works with any USB-C cable up to 16 feet. LEDs on the unit indicate status and data activity. No external power is needed. The unit weighs just two ounces and is easy to carry in a pocket, purse, backpack, or laptop bag for instant file transfers where needed.
