PIR Sensor Breakout Boards

SparkFun has developed four breakout boards for Panasonic's low-profile PIR sensors. Two of the boards feature Qwiic connectors for fast and easy product development, as well as two boards that feature header pins to integrate into a breadboard for development. SEN-17373 and SEN-17375 feature Panasonic's EKM series PIR sensors and are designed for battery-powered applications with a low standby current draw of 1 µA. SEN-17372 and SEN-17374 are designed for continuously-powered projects and have a low standby current draw of 170 µA. The PIR sensors offer a digital output across 32 zones at up to 5 m detection distance in a 90° by 90° detection area. These sensors do not return specific distance data but will send an activation signal when motion is detected in their sensing range.
