LQH44P Series Compact 1515 Size Wire-Wound Power Inductor

Murata Electronics has developed a new series of compact power inductors that offer high rated current and low DC resistance designed to save space and increase efficiency in DC–DC converter designs. This product utilizes wire–wound technology and advanced ferrite materials to provide exceptional electrical characteristics. The new LQH44P series (1515 size) comes in a 4.0 mm x 4.0 mm x 1.65 mm package and produces inductances from 1.2 µH up to 22 µH with rated currents as high as 2.95 A. Further, the DC resistance is lowest in class when compared to competing products.

As one of the most critical requirements in DC to DC converter applications is minimal loss in order to achieve a higher level of efficiency, the low DC resistance and low power loss of the LQH44P series makes it ideally suited to this application. The new LQH44P can be used for DC to DC converter power line filtering in portable equipment and consumer products where efficiency of the DC to DC converter with a reduction in inductor size are key requirements.
