LEM’s PointSenz PCM series sensors are optimized for the electronic measurement of bipolar DC currents while ensuring galvanic isolation between the primary and secondary circuits. Known as points condition monitoring (PCM), these sensors are purposefully engineered to monitor points in trackside applications, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of railway systems.
The PCM trackside current transducers are designed with a compact split-core design to facilitate maintenance and are intended for panel mounting. They feature a 15.6 mm aperture for the primary conductor to pass through. The PCM series operates based on the closed-loop Hall effect sensor principle, which ensures precise and reliable current measurements in railway trackside applications.
