As car manufacturers continuously strive to add functionality, more and more electronic systems are fit into ever-shrinking available vehicular space. The need for miniaturization has never been greater than it is today. The MX80 series connectors have been specifically designed to address this need. With its 0.64 mm terminal size, extensive wire size range (0.13 mm2 to 1 mm2), and high-current carrying capacity of up to 10 A, among other aspects, this series provides the performance, design, and flexibility required for today’s automotive technological advancements.

  • 2-way, 3-way, and 4-way in-line (wire-to-wire) connectors available
  • Supports extensive wire size range: 0.13 mm2 to 1.0 mm2
  • Tested to automotive specifications USCAR-2 & 21 and LV214
  • Three key codes
  • AK/USCAR standardized 0.64 mm terminal geometry
  • Mounting/stowage features
  • Terminal position assurance (TPA) functionality
  • Features for ‘ring out board’ testing

Applications

  • Mirror and glazing: door mirrors, roof systems, electrochromic glass, and glazing modules
  • Lighting: front and rear bumper, fog light, reversing light, stop lamp, license plate illumination, indicator, puddle lamp, ambient lighting
  • Sensor: parking, brake pedal, camera, keyless entry module, tire pressure, and fluid reservoir
  • Audio: speaker (anti-rattle and large wire size), microphone
  • Others: suspension, tailgate, doors, and bonnet switch
