IPS-265 Low-Cost Analog Radar Sensor

InnoSenT's IPM-265 K-band radar transceiver is part of the IPM product series with standard-based variants and a wide-spread radar device for movement detection. This transceiver offers similar features of the IPM-165 and IPM-365. As the stereo edition, the IPS-265 has dual-channel operation to identify the movement direction, providing an additional detection feature.

The IPS-265 is ideal as an integrated motion sensor and offers an ultra-compact design. The main application is to trigger an automated technical process (i.e. automated door opener), recognizing a movement within the field of view. This device is a low-cost radar solution that is designed for security and building automation applications with a detection range of less than 10 meters.

The simple CW doppler radar comes with an asymmetrical wide beam to detect moving objects. It can be hidden behind a cover or integrated into a housing and features separate transmit and receive antennas for maximum gain. The IPS-265 is available in different frequency trimmings for worldwide use. It is equipped with an advanced LCO oscillator with low current consumption.

The similar IPM-165 radar module is available for movement and speed detection. The IPM-365 radar sensor is the 3 V power version for battery use of the IPM-165.
