1554/1555 Series Enclosures

Hammond Manufacturing's 1554/1555 series of environmentally-sealed enclosures now encompass 32 sizes and nearly 200 box and lid combinations to suit a wide variety of applications. These series now range in size from 2.6" x 2.6" x 1.6" (65 mm x 65 mm x 40 mm) to 11.81" x 9.45" x 4.72" (240 mm x 160 mm x 90 mm).

These enclosures are designed to house printed circuit boards or DIN-rail-mounted components, with the bases fitted as standard with internal DIN-rail-mounting tabs and standoffs for mounting PCBs or panels. All lids feature a replaceable gasket tongue and groove seal. In addition to gray, the polycarbonate versions are also available with a transparent-clear or smoke-colored lid.

Stainless steel screws and corrosion-resistant inserts are located outside the gasket to ensure protection from the ingress of liquid. Additional holes in the base, also outside the gasket seal, are provided to allow the enclosure to be wall- or shelf-mounted. Optional steel panels, suitable for mounting heavy components, can be fitted to the integral mounting points, and most sizes also feature molded slots to enable 1.6 mm thick PCBs to be mounted vertically into the unit. Other accessories include Hammond's line of heavy-duty pole mount kits (PMB series) and nylon IP68 cord grips (1427NCG series).
