Silicon Photodiode, Transimpedance Amplifier Hybrid

Advanced Photonix's silicon photodiodes in these series are coupled with a low-noise preamplifier chip in the same package. This integrated configuration enables highly resistant devices to external noise in a compact package. These devices can also support a built-in thermoelectric cooler (TEC) to reduce the dark current and noise further, enhancing performance. The transimpedance amplifiers selected for this series are low noise and low drift, with the capability of supporting a variety of gains and bandwidths operating from DC level to several MHz in either unbiased configuration for low-speed, low-drift applications, or biased for faster response time. The devices can be modified by adding a bandpass optical filter, integrating additional chip components inside the same package, using different op amps, photodetectors, and modified packaging.
